Predators, Prey and Everything in Between. This is The Tundra Food Web.
An Introduction: What is a Food Web?
Essentially, a food-web is the translation of energy throughout an entire biome amongst entire groups of different species. In essence, each different and diverse form of life in every biome, flora or fauna, contributes either directly or indirectly to the vicious and not-so-vicious lifeforms surrounding that life-form. No matter how large or small, a disruption cast unsparingly between any animal could interfere with that animals' energy intake erroneously misguiding the beasts future. Every food web starts with the sun and includes decomposers, producers, and consumers as the basic components of said food-web. The world could not exist without food-webs as obviously as it could not exist without oxygen, or women. The consumers could further be classified as carnivores and omnivores. Below is a video that clearly explains the components of the Tundra food web.

The flora and fauna that inhabit and interact with each other in this environment says a lot about the way this plants and animals can exist. The tundra is obviously a very cold area, which limits the types of plants that grow there. The amount of sun received in the tundra varies by season, however we know that the availability of sunlight in this nebulous area is minimal. The sun affects the plants that grow in the tundra because of photosynthesis. Without this, plant life in the tundra would be smaller than it already is, affecting the rest of the food web. No grass, lichens, Caribou moss, and liverworts causes herbivores, secondary consumers, and primary carnivores to die off.
Current Problem: Global Warming
A major problem affecting the tundra is the problem of Global Warming. This issue can disrupt the ecosystem food web because many organisms could lose their territories to the cold water. If the predatory species die off then the primary consumers will thrive too much. One example is the death of the polar bear adding to the fish population. Some solutions for this would be to decrease pollution, we need to stop the issue of global warming before it destroys the world.
